The agreement in plain terms

These terms govern your use of BuenaParkCAPlumbingPoint.com and the dispatch service reached through it. Using the site or calling the number means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.

This is a referral service. We do not perform plumbing work. Every repair, installation and inspection is performed by an independent contractor who is not our employee, agent or partner. Your contract for the work is with that contractor.

What the service actually does

We take your call, match the job to an independent plumbing professional who works your area and does that kind of work, and dispatch them. We review a contractor's credentials and workmanship record before they go on the list, and we review it again when a customer tells us something went wrong. That vetting is a filter, not a guarantee of any particular outcome on your property.

Pricing and estimates

No price quoted on the phone is binding, because no plumbing problem can be honestly priced before it has been seen. The contractor diagnoses on site and gives you a written price before work begins. You are free to decline it. Any deposit, payment schedule, change order or additional work is agreed directly between you and the contractor.

Scheduling and arrival windows

Arrival windows are estimates given in good faith. Emergencies, traffic on the I-5 and CA-91, and jobs that turn out to be larger than described all move them. Emergency calls are dispatched around the clock, but we cannot guarantee a specific arrival time, and nothing here creates a promise of one.

Emergencies and safety

If you smell gas, leave the building and call your gas utility and emergency services before you call us. If water is near electrical circuits, kill power at the breaker before going near it. Nothing on this site is a substitute for shutting off a supply or getting people out of a building.

Credentials and permits

Contractors on the list are expected to hold the credentials California requires for the work they take on and to pull permits for work that needs them. You are entitled to ask the plumber on your property for their credentials and to verify them with the relevant state board before work begins. We encourage it.

Work quality and guarantees

Any workmanship guarantee is given by the contractor who performed the work and is enforceable against them. Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment are the manufacturer’s. If work is defective, contact the contractor first, and tell us as well, because unresolved complaints are how a contractor comes off the list.

Your responsibilities

  • Describe the problem accurately including anything you already know about past work on the property.
  • Provide safe access to the work area, including clearing space around a heater, a cleanout or a meter where you can.
  • Have authority to authorise work at the address, or get it from the owner before work starts.
  • Pay the contractor as agreed with them for work you authorised.

Content on this site

The guidance on these pages is general information about how plumbing systems in this part of Orange County tend to fail. It is not a diagnosis of your property, and following it is not a substitute for having a qualified plumber look at the thing in front of you. Text, layout, photography and code on this site belong to their respective owners and may not be copied or republished without permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our liability arising out of the referral service is limited to the referral itself. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, delays, workmanship, pricing or conduct of independent contractors, nor for property damage, loss of use, or consequential or incidental losses arising from work performed at your property. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms, from work you authorised without the authority to do so, or from information you gave us that was materially inaccurate.

Third-party links

Where this site links to a utility, a state board or a manufacturer, that site has its own terms and privacy practices and we do not control its content.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes with us are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California. Disputes about the plumbing work itself are between you and the contractor, under whatever terms you agreed with them. Before anything formal, call the number and give us a chance to sort it out.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The effective date at the top changes when they are, and continuing to use the service afterwards means the updated version applies.
